So, mutual respect is necessary when trying to influence someone, specially when you can't proof anything on either side.

Really hoping you guys are well.Jossiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08061752844375014214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14038129.post-49831138785868465672013-03-06T11:18:48.187-06:002013-03-06T11:18:48.187-06:00Jose, I hope you're well. I ran into your blog thinking I'd find something about Chavez, because I'm interested in your thoughts now that he's passed, but instead I find this post. I'm going to be downright honest with you. It's not that Christians don't want to hear your beliefs or we haven't questioned our own (I have many times!), it's that your posts have been condescending and arrogant which tend to come off as bullying. I'm not speaking of this post, but in the past, it got to a point where I felt bullied by you.

My observation along the years have been that atheists don't offer their beliefs as a belief. If atheism is the lack of a belief in God, that sounds like a belief in itself and you could be proven false in the end, too. Also, atheists tend to treat Christians as if we are handicapped and can't think for ourselves - the irony of that always makes me smile. Praying and reading the bible is nothing but thinking, reflecting, and being enlightened.

It is much easier to not believe in something than to believe in it and try to push away all your human desires in order to truly follow the teachings we preach and say we believe in... I struggle with it every day.Jossiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08061752844375014214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14038129.post-36886975935112750492012-03-25T22:47:54.008-05:002012-03-25T22:47:54.008-05:00Nice writing, Jose.Nice writing, Jose.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03315989698801013340noreply@blogger.com
