Life, the Universe, and Everything
This MIT professor has an intersting theory. According to him, the Universe is a big computer, We are just bits of information, zeros and ones, It seems plausible, atoms are bits, the laws of physics are opcodes. Let's just hope is not running windows.

The universe has to be linux.
Stable. Inexpensive. Need ten PhD's to figure it out.
And once you think you did, you see that your wireless network is still acting screwy.

I also have the same problem, my wireless card just kicks the bucket when on my SUSE Thinkpad...
I have driver issues with my wireless when I'm trying to use Linux. I toyed around for days, but eventually got so aggravated I quit and figured I'd mess with it when I magically had more time...
hasn't happened yet.
