Blogcritics.org: I'm A Programmer, Not A Computer Guy
This is a good article I read today. I sort of feel the same way, with a few exceptions (I live in Florida, not California) I could say the same thing about the profesion.

I completely agree. For crying out loud, I just got a minor in computer science, and I've got people calling from my part time job as a hospital ADMISSIONS CLERK to fix their computer problems!
